Last updated: 14 October 2026
This notice explains what personal information Softer Mind collects, why, and what your rights are. We keep it to the minimum we need.
Who we are
Softer Mind ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the information described here. You can contact us at [email protected] or The Studio, Dobson Way, Congleton, Cheshire CW12 1GP.

Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. For purchases, Stripe acts as the reseller and merchant of record, which means Stripe processes your payment details and handles tax on the sale. We never see or store your full card details. Stripe's privacy notice is at stripe.com/privacy.
Who else handles your information
We use a small number of trusted services to run Softer Mind:
- Cloudflare, which hosts our website and stores your recordings. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without tracking you across other sites.
- Stripe, for payments (see above).
- Resend, which delivers our order and recording emails.
- MailerLite, which sends our emails to people who have signed up or bought from us.
Some of these companies are based in, or use servers in, the United States. Where your information leaves the UK, it's protected by the UK's approved safeguards, such as the UK-US data bridge or standard contractual clauses.
We never sell your information, and we never share it for anyone else's marketing.
Cookies
Our website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe's checkout pages use cookies that are necessary to take payment securely and prevent fraud.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe, then we delete your email address within 30 days (we keep a note that you unsubscribed, so we don't email you again).
- Orders: six years, because UK tax law requires us to keep financial records.
- Emails to us: up to two years, unless they relate to an order.
Your rights
You have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to take it elsewhere. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link at the bottom of each one. To use any of these rights, email [email protected].
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
